PROMOTE THE FEEL – GOOD FACTOR FOR YOUR HAIR, BODY AND SOUL DURING LOCKDOWN!

5 ways to combat the Covid blues:

  1. Take time for yourself. Run a hot bath. Light a candle. Press play on your feel-good playlist.

Why not try a hair mask once a week and see the benefits for yourself?!

The benefits of using a hair mask include:

  • SHINIER, SOFTER HAIR
  • ADDED MOISTURE AND PROTEIN
  • REDUCED HAIR BREAKAGE, DAMAGE AND SPLIT ENDS
  • LESS FRIZZ
  • HEALTHIER SCALP

  1. Put your favourite song on and dance to improve happiness and boost your mood. Listening to music helps stimulate the release of the chemical in the body that makes us feel good.

What is your go-to uplifting song or artist?

Some of our favourite feel-good songs & artists:

  • “Let’s Go Crazy” by Prince.
  • “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves.
  • “I Got You (IFeel Good)” by James Brown.
  • “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars

  1. Go for a walk, this will immediately make you feel a little better. Fresh air and spending time in nature give you a great mood boost.

  1. To turn that frown upside down, grab a delightful cup of your go to coffee, tea, or fresh fruit juice. The benefits of a daily fresh fruit juice not only improve moods but can be a powerful tool for boosting the immune system and adding the needed minerals and nutrients into the body.  It is good for your soul!

Recipe for Immune Booster juice:

  • 1-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1inch fresh ginger
  • 1 bunch of rainbow carrots

  1. Kindness and helping someone else have positive mental repercussions. This is a brilliant way to boost yours and someone else’s mood. Try to use extra time during lockdown to help someone. Why not become NHS volunteer responder or register to support a local befriending service? Other great ways to help could be though helping at a food bank or support an elderly neighbour.
